Before contracting, verify commercial auto and general liability coverage, driver training records, background screening practices, credential currency such as TWIC where facility access requires it, and the provider's incident and exposure procedures.
Contract for accountability
Service agreements should define delivery windows, exception notification timelines, documentation deliverables, and named escalation contacts. Accountability written into the agreement is easier to enforce than accountability assumed.
